corn hole games

Game Rules and Instructions

  1. You can play with two or four players.
  2. When playing with four players divide into two teams. Each team has one team member stand at one game board and the other team mate stands at the opposite game board. With just two players each person is their own team, so they should stand at opposite game boards.
  3. Each team gets four bags to toss. The color bags that your team gets will keep that same color through out the entire game. You’ll have to flip coins or draw straws to see who gets what color.
  4. Now you need to choose who gets to go first. My rule is ladies first.
  5. When you are ready to play, opposite team members stand at the same game board with their four bags. Each player tosses one bag at a time until all four of their bags have been tossed. The object is to get all four of your bags in the hole, or at least on the board. Before any bags are removed you need to count points to get the score.
  6. To figure out how to count points here are the rules that we follow:
    • Each bag that fully lands on the board is worth 1 point
    • Each bag that goes in the hole is worth 3 points
    • Any bags that don’t land on the boards are not worth any points.
    • To give you an idea here is an example: Lets say one team is red and the other team is black. The red team gets one bag in the hole and the black teams gets nothing on the board—so the red team gets 3 points for that round. Now the players at the opposite board are tossing and the red team gets one bag on the board and the black teams get one in the hole and one on the board. For this round the red team got 1 point BUT the black team got 4 points—so you subtract the red teams points from the black teams points (ex: 4—1 = 3) and the number that you get gets added to the total points for the team that scored the most. So after only two rounds the red team has 3 points and the black teams also has 3 points.
  7. The game is played until one team reaches a total of 21 points, which can take a while. This is where our drink stands come in handy if you know what we mean.
  8. If it starts to rain don’t worry cause our game was designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Just pick it up and finish playing inside. It’s convenient because you and the other team players can choose the distance you want to place the boards at. Our recommendation is what ever distance the players are comfortable playing at. Just remember though the further away the more challenging.
